This multidisciplinary approach helps empower patients with Parkinson’s disease to restore functional ability, maintain quality of life, and ensure overall safety.
Infinity HomeCare utilizes innovative treatment approaches including a technique called LSVT BIG. This technique is a one-on-one, large movement treatment approach. LSVT BIG focuses on improving balance, movement, transfers, bed mobility and the ability to walk. It also helps decrease freezing episodes in patients with Parkinson’s disease.
The clinicians providing LSVT BIG are licensed Physical and Occupational Therapists who have completed a national certification course in LSVT BIG.
Eric Nelson, a fulltime physical therapist at Infinity HomeCare recently gained his national certification in this technique. Eric states, “This technique has made a significant difference in my patient’s lives. LSVT BIG has been a game changer. It has given my patients the tools to achieve a higher level of safe function long-term. It’s all about realizing you can break past your current movement patterns and move BIG once again!”
